“Why did I gain weight if I’m exercising every day and eating healthy”
This is what my wife asked me after stepping on the scale the other day. She was up a couple of pounds from a few weeks ago - even though she exercises every day and eats a very healthy diet.
On the other hand, she is in the best shape of her life, fitting into clothes that she hasn’t been able to wear for a very long time, and feels great with plenty of energy.
Although muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat, when you exercise and eat healthy, you lose fat and gain muscle - which can sometimes lead to no weight loss or even some slight weight gains. However, the difference in shape of muscle and fat is very noticeable.
•Don’t let the scale be the judge and jury of your fitness goals
Your weight isn’t the only metric that matters.
Have a magnificent Monday!
